Dussehra is an important Hindu festival that signifies the victory of good over evil.
This day is associated with Lord Rama and how he killed the evil Ravan. Lord Rama is our inner strength, divinity, and Higher Self. Ravan is our Ego and senses that compromise our spiritual growth and wisdom. We worship Lord Rama, i.e., our Consciousness, to bless us with strong willpower, wisdom, and the ability to make good choices for our growth.
Sharing a Sanskrit prayer I sang to invoke and celebrate Lord Rama, our inner Consciousness.
Essence of the Prayer:
O mind, remember Rama, the Lord of compassion, who will eradicate the most terrible dreads of life. Meditate on Rama, the root of all bliss and the destroyer of the demons.
Energy grows where attention goes. We have both God and Devil within us.
It is up to us which one we would like to strengthen. Let us choose wisely.
