An economist, educationist, administrator, author, and philanthropist associated with many NGOs, his initiative, ”College to Village and Village to College,” has transformed St Xavier’s College Kolkata, into a University.

Reverend Father Felix Raj, S.J., has transformed millions of lives through wisdom and spirituality. He has authored nine (9) books and has lectured in universities in Europe, the US, and Canada besides India. Father serves as a Vice-Chancellor at St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata practicing ethos ‘schools are temples of education’.
“Schools are temples of education.”

“Villages are temples of prosperity.”
He firmly believes ‘villages are temples of prosperity’ and therefore serves villages to flourish through service by college students. This union integrates the two temples of wisdom and prosperity and matter, and spirituality manifests harmoniously.

Insights:
Regrets:
-
Integration with villages through service is the way to the prosperity of any nation.
-
Your true nature is spiritual and not human.
-
Connect with the heart to live a deeper life, and joy will surround you.
-
Use both matter and spirituality to live a balanced life.
-
Use devices but do not get used by them. Do not use mobile phones as tools for distraction.
-
Spirituality has become weak, and people have become too worldly.
-
People live with less consciousness and awareness of the needs of others.
In conversation with Father Felix, it became even more evident, service to humanity through education is key to living an abundant, beautiful, and comprehensive life.
“Spirituality is what matters.” -Reverend Father Felix Raj, S.J.
