Diwali is one of the biggest Hindu festivals celebrated as a mark of victory of good over evil.

Lord Rama completed 14 years of exile to the forests and faced all the demons. He returned with his wife and younger brother by either conquering those demons or befriending them with his courage and wisdom.

Traditionally, homemade pure organic cotton buds dipped in pure ghee are lit to spread light in the darkness of night.

Metaphorically Diwali for our soul is to go inwards into the wilderness or forest of our inner self and face our inner demons with courage and wisdom. We can then dissolve our thoughts dipped in our own deep knowing/wisdom rather than external influences. Then we too can spread light in our inner dark spaces.

It is the prime reason for loneliness and depression today. We are all caught up in our own lives and isolating ourselves with suppressed feelings, worries and fear of rejection. We even hold back sharing the good news because we fear others will not take it well, and we may feel hurt.

If we can live out of love and not fear, then each day will be Valentine's Day for us. It is not necessary to have a partner to celebrate the occasion. It is the essence of living out of love and sharing that love with others.

Live Life with Love each day and make it a special day because you are special, and time never comes back.

Tap into the limitless reservoir of love that is inside you and celebrate it with others!

That is Diwali for our soul - by lighting all the darkness in and around us.
